Hola! 

Today we had our Olympics closing ceremony. We enjoyed dressing up in our Spanish colours!

Today in maths my group had to do like 8 times 9 but work it out by using 5 times and it was hard at the start but when miss tame show us a bit more my mates and i started to get  the  hang of it maths is so  fun i love doing it miss tame is the best maths teacher ever.this is how you do it.9x8=72 thats how you would do it but this is how we do it.9x8 then we go 9x5=45 then 9x3=27 then we add 45 and 27 which is 72.By Harry

Reading

This morning in reading my group kakapo had finish are follow up activite and once we finished that we went on the ipods to kiwi kids news.And i found out that the volcano up in the north island erupted
and that a shark took a persons camera.

Today at extension writing we are writing speeches to inspire a sport team or an Olympic athlete. We have been doing this for about 2 weeks. But instead of doing that you could also write a speech if you had won a gold medal.

Today
This morning we did some reading.My group read about some  very nice birds that can fly up to 100,000 kilometers and they can go without sleeping and eating for a very long time.Then we went to maths interchange. It was fun and challenging.After maths we all came back to are class rooms and had are morning tea.'yummy'.After morning tea we went to the hall to have a class photo.Once we had are photo we all went to the library to do are activites for t he olympics.Then we came back and had some lunch.After lunch the teacher read some novel.Then done basic facts and word wall.After we  did some fitness.For fitness we did aerobic.Some people were funny when they did it.By Megan Harris.

Studio 14 is working on a project called olympic mania there are 3 part to this.

 Part 1.We have to chose a buddy and write out are guess in the time that the winning person in that sport and the one who was gets it right wins gold

Part 2.In the same buddys we have to chose 1 of 4 option of a thing about the olympics me and my buddy chose about the drugs the people take before the olympic games

Part 3.We have to do something about spain i don't know yet because we are only up to number2

Procedure and instruction writing

On the 24th of July, studio 14 did some procedure writing. We wrote about how to make ambrosia food of the gods. I could ramble on and on about the gods...Artemis...Greece...Minotaur.............What? Oh, um, see? I could ramble on and on. So anyway, on the 17th of July, Miss Tame made ambrosia and we did some note taking. Then once we had finished note taking, we had a little time to practice writing procedures of our choice. BACK TO THE PRESENT........(I like time traveling)...........Now we had to write a procedure, of making ambrosia, and pretend that a novice cooker was reading it. It was fun, making these procedures, but this is my opinion, because some people (Rio!) don't like it. Anyway, to round it up, it was good.
